Yay! I was sad because I did'nt see there was a topic for the movie on his website!
It's actually one of the most accurate versions of Aurthurian history portrayed on film. I had a friend who was a histoian on the subject, and my Mom did research on it most of her life. But all that aside, Mr. Flanery is really cute in it. LOL

For some reason not all the movies have their own independent section...
not sure why that is..??? But yes there is a thread for Guinevere is here
on the forum.
And yes Sean is really cute in this :)

We bought it at the dollar section, and when we got around to watching it, I was taken in by his performance. He plays the role well. And he has the cutest furrowed eyebrows of any actor, Orlando Bloom aside. LOL

Just finished it. I can really see that this version would be the most historically accurate. The plot didn't follow a typical "hollywood" path. Not that there were huge twists and turns but it was more realistic. Sean's Arthur is achingly naive and ignorant but his intentions are well meant. YOu feel for him but you also want to give him a swift kick in the arse!

It certainly doesn't follow the typical "Hollywood" path. It was nice that they
had Guinevere be a stronger female character and not completely dependant
on guys to do everything for her.
Agreed Sean's Arthur is achingly naive and ignorant ... and cute!
Would the swift kick in the @rse be when Arthur falls prey to that witches
seductions ... that's when I was like "NOoooo!!!!"

Exactly!!!! I was screaming at the TV, "you stupid, ignorant little BOY!" But also when he is ready to head off into battle...again and Guinevere is trying to dissuade him.

Just reading this, now I really want to watch it. Hopefully it arrives soon. I'm not a big fan of period pieces like this. But since Sean's in it, I'll make an exception.

Oh yes!!! but the story wouldn't be what it was without the character doing
that ... even if it makes us go "Nooo!!"

Completely agree with you. :) The most memorable scene for me is where he kneels to Guinevere. So cute. ^^ I like historical tales in cinema, when they are truthful to the real events. This one came pretty close. I hope to watch it with Mom someday.
